Epson Photo Printer

The Epson EcoTank ET-8550 is great for photos, specialty papers, stickers, and other high-quality color printing.

For ordinary documents and everyday printing, use the Minolta instead.

Quick Start

Connect your computer to the mixi Wi-Fi network. The Epson will not be visible from other networks.
If you haven't used the Epson before, add the ET-8550 to your computer's printers.
Load your paper into the rear paper feeder. Use the rear feeder for Maker Lab printing to reduce the chance of jams, particularly with specialty media.
Print using your application's system print dialog.
Select the Epson ET-8550 and choose the appropriate paper size, paper type, print quality, and Rear Paper Feed as the paper source.

Software & Drivers

Install Epson's drivers and utilities if your computer does not automatically configure the printer correctly.

Ink

Replacement ink bottles are stored in the cabinet at the back of the lab.

The ET-8550 uses refillable ink tanks rather than cartridges. Check the ink level and make sure you are using the correct ink bottle before opening or filling a tank.

Do not dispose of an ink bottle until you are sure the corresponding tank has been filled.
